The SNDP Yogam began as per the guidance of “Sree Narayana Guru”, the great social reformer, philosopher and saint of Kerala in 1903. Swamiji’s vision was to prevent the discrimination against the weaker sections of the society in the name of caste, creed and religion and uplift the the backward people of Kerala. Guru’s message to the community, “Emancipation through education”, was put into practice by the eminent Malayalam poet Kumaranasan and Dr. Palpu. The Yogam started many institutions for the education of students belonging to backward communities.

The Paravur SNDP union strictly follows the objectives of SNDP yogam and plays a significant role in the socio-cultural and economic development of the area. The union is running schools at primary, secondary and higher secondary levels. The prominent SNV Sanskrit Higher Secondary school at Paravur is administered by the union.  The Sree Narayana Arts and Science College, Kedamangalam was inaugurated by Sri. Vellapally Natesan, The General Secretary of SNDP Yogam in 2003. Now there are 7 programs at UG level and two PG programs viz; M.Com Finance and Taxation and M.Sc Computer Science in the college.

We provide free insurance coverage to our students and also give scholarship and fee concession to students belonging to all communities on merit basis. The college placement cell arranges campus selection for the outgoing degree students and provides free online PSC coaching to all of our students. The Management wishes to launch new generation courses in the college from the forthcoming academic year………
